Authority Developed Workplace Learning Program (ADWPL)
At Armadale ESC we practise a comprehensive Authority Developed Work Place Learning program. This endorsed program places significant emphasis on students developing critical employability skills which enable them to be successful in both the community and workforce. Work experience is generally organised by the school, based on student’s interest in one or more real workplaces. This commitment is best achieved through effective and mutually beneficial partnership between the school and industry. During work placement, students are placed in a supported or open environment where employers supervise the students as they practise and extend the industry skills. This gives students the opportunity to demonstrate the employability skills they require for the job and gain experience in the chosen field. We aim to prepare students for employment by providing them with knowledge and exposure to different workplaces and assist students to make informed decisions about their future. Workplace learning can lead students to gain traineeships where they attain both on the job training and qualifications.
